Laura Roth was among a select group of performers chosen to honor legendary singer and actress Patrice Munsel on Sunday night, April 10, 2011, at a gala dinner held at the National Arts Club in Manhattan. Among those on the bill with Laura were Tammy Grimes, Celeste Holm, Marni Nixon, Lee Roy Reams, and K.T. Sullivan, with special remarks by Baroness Betsy Von Furstenberg. Laura created a tribute to Judy Garland, a beloved contemporary of Patrice Munsel, and personally sang to Patrice, who received the prestigious Medal of Honor. Many of Manhattan's elite were present. When an elegant lady complimented Laura on her performance, Laura thanked her for her kind remarks. The woman responded: "No one has ever accused me of being kind, my dear. You were simply excellent." A week later, the ultimate diva herself, Miss Munsel, called Laura and said she "wished Laura could have done her entire act that evening. She is that good."
